Oh, for the love of puns. Guinness plus records equals a pun trifecta! And apart from that it's actually quite a touching love song. I like love songs that are a bit different or left of the dial (the best is Dogbowl's "Hot Day In Waco").

lyrics
it's been said by the ubiquitous They
'make sure somebody remembers your name'
'the best way to do that is get some fame'
so I bought in and played their game
so many lonely nights turned out to be
contemplating the Guinness in front of me
I'd wonder 'how did they do it, or why indeed?
Is the fame of this book really all that I need?'
but when I look back to the
things I have done
the challenges faced and conquered
none of them stick
but winning your love
feels like I've broken a record
a record
I tried to be the first at that or this
but there's a reason there have been no attempts
I tried the be the most, least or youngest
but every chance I'd get was another chance I'd miss
but I became the happiest when we met
so what if Guinness won't put that in print?
I can't imagine anyone trying to attempt
to outdo our relationship
when I look back to the
things I have done
the challenges faced and conquered
none of them stick
but winning your love
feels like I've broken a record
a record
when I look back to the
things I have done
the challenges faced and conquered
none of them stick
but winning your love
feels like I've broken a record
a record
a record
a record
a record
a record
a record

If for nothing else, get this for the song "Snow." It kicks my ass every time I listen to it. It is everything I want to do as a songwriter. Planga-La Laboratories
